Main Content:
This convention specifies the classification and relevant measures for chemicals (classification, labeling and marking, safety data sheets), employer responsibilities (exposure monitoring, operational control in the workplace, medical monitoring, first aid and emergencies), cooperation,and workers' rights. It is applicable to all economic sectors using chemicals, and to self-employed persons as specified by national laws or regulations. It is not applicable to articles which, under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, do not expose workers to hazardous chemicals, or to organic substances, but it is applicable to chemical derivatives of organic substances.
