This standard defines terms and definitions related to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and the main technical specifications, including organization and personnel of the testing facility, quality assurance program, facilities, instruments, materials and reagents, test systems, test samples and reference items, standard operating procedures, conduct of studies, reporting of study results, and storage and archiving of records and materials. Unless explicitly exempted by national legislation, the principles of GLP set forth in this standard apply to all non-clinical health and environmental safety studies required by regulations.
