The European Commission recently proposed an exemption for the use of UV-328 under a ban and requested public comments on this matter. According to international agreements, the new regulations will limit the maximum content of UV-328 in all substances, mixtures, or articles to 1mg/kg, while allowing its use in land vehicles, mechanical separators for blood collection tubes, triacetate cellulose films in polarizers, and photographic paper until February 26, 2030. These measures aim to balance environmental requirements with the industry's need for adjustment time.
