This standard specifies the permissible limits of harmful substances to human health and the environment involved in the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging marks, and implementation of the standard, and is applicable to all types of woodenware coatings used for on-site and industrial coating, including putty, primer, and topcoat, except for special functional coatings such as pulling paint, bridging paint, wood staining agents, and open effect paint.

This document specifies the permissible limits for substances harmful to human health and the environment in industrial coatings and auxiliary materials. It covers product classification, hazard labeling of coatings, requirements, inspection rules, labeling, and implementation of the document. It describes the corresponding test methods and is applicable to both on-site and factory coatings for decorating, protecting, and providing other functions to surfaces made of wood, metal, plastic, concrete, composite materials, glass, ceramic, etc. It includes all types of industrial coatings and their auxiliary materials. However, it does not apply to aerospace coatings, nuclear-grade protective coatings, or coatings used for military equipment and facilities.
