Main Content
This regulation specifies general provisions, ingredient positive lists for cellulose materials, packaging, and equipment in contact with food, extraction conditions for determining total migration levels, determination of total migration levels, calculation methods, determination of specific migration, etc. It is applicable to: 1) materials, packaging, and equipment made of cellulose or coated or treated with wax, paraffin, mineral oil, and mineral pigments in contact with food; 2) packaging and equipment composed of the same or different materials (multilayer), but must comply with 1); 3) packaging and equipment containing recycled material cellulose fibers as mentioned in section 1.2(ingredient positive lists for cellulose materials, packaging, and equipment in contact with food) of the second part of this regulation.
