It applies to activities related to the production, use, recovery, collection, recycling, or destruction, and import/export of fluorinated greenhouse gases within the EU.

The EU F-Gas Regulation specifies the scope of fluorinated greenhouse gases, relevant definitions, containment measures, restrictions and controls on use, production schedules and reductions in the market release of hydrofluorocarbons, trade, reporting and collection of emission data, enforcement, penalties, consultation forums, committee procedures and the exercise of delegation, as well as transitional and final provisions. It applies to activities related to sealed, used, recovered, recycled, produced, imported, exported, and marketed fluorinated greenhouse gases within the EU.
