This decree specifies the rules for inspecting and controlling the suitability for food contact of numerous materials. These materials include plastic materials, composite materials, paper and cardboard, glass-crystal-ceramics-glass-ceramics-vitreous enameled objects, stainless steel, steels for packaging, steels for non-packaging uses, aluminum and aluminum alloys, cast iron, tin, zinc, various coated metal and galvanized metal articles, and rubber. It provides guidance for the inspection and control of the suitability for food contact of various food contact materials on the French market.
