(USA) New York State Law GBS Title 20, Chapter 26, Section 391-U*2: Restrictions on the Sale and Use of Firefighting Equipment Containing PFAS Chemicals

This regulation specifies restrictions on the sale and use of firefighting equipment containing PFAS chemicals. It includes definitions of relevant terms, a ban on the use of Class B firefighting foam containing intentionally added PFAS for training purposes, prohibitions on the sale and manufacture of Class B foam, exemptions to the ban, manufacturer notification obligations, PFAS disclosure and restrictions in firefighting personal protective equipment, and oversight and penalties. It applies to the control of firefighting equipment containing PFAS chemicals within New York State.
