Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (AIIC) Adds One Substance and Corrects Names of 90 Chemicals-Aug 7,2024

On July 29, 2024, the Australian government issued the following two notices:

1- Under Section 83 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, one industrial chemical has been added to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (AIIC):

.alpha.-D-Glucan, (1.fwdarw.2),(1.fwdarw.6)-, 2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl ether, chloride (CAS: 2412833-99-7).

2- In accordance with Section 85 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, the chemical names of 90 substances have been updated to the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) names. These corrections do not alter the characteristics of the chemical substances themselves.
