Based on the Chemical Control Act (CCA) and K - REACH, South Korea's List of Restricted Substances aims to protect public health and environmental safety by restricting or banning high-risk chemicals. Once on the list, chemicals face use restrictions in manufacturing, import, sale, storage, transport, and usage. Under the CCA, product registrants must tell the Ministry of Environment if imported chemicals contain restricted or prohibited substances. Companies should closely watch the Ministry of Environment's updates on restricted substances and meet relevant registration and permit requirements to ensure product compliance.
