Update to the China-National Food Safety Standard for Use of Additives for Food Contact Materials and Products (GB 9685-2016) - 6 New Substances Added-Jul 3,2025

On July 2, 2025, the Department of Food Safety Standard and Risk Assessment of the National Health Commission of China issued an announcement on 20 new types of "Three New Foods," including 5 new food ingredients such as D-allulose, 9 new varieties of food additives such as aminopeptidase, and 6 new types of food-related products such as ammonium salt of dodecanoic acid.

Six of these food contact materials have now been included in the list of the "China-National Food Safety Standard for Use of Additives for Food Contact Materials and Products (GB 9685-2016)."
