Update the UK Mandatory Classification and Labelling List of Chemicals (GB MCL) to the seventh edition-Oct 24,2025

Time: Oct 24, 2025

On 16 September 2025, the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) officially released the seventh edition of the Great Britain Mandatory Classification and Labelling List (GB MCL). This update incorporates the new/revised GB mandatory classification and labelling (GB MCL) for the 30 substances included in the fifth recommendation to ministers by the GB CLP Agency and subsequently agreed by ministers in September 2025. The update further strengthens the regulatory framework for chemical hazard management, ensuring alignment with the independent Great Britain Classification, Labelling and Packaging (GB CLP) system.

This release also corrects a number of reported errors in the GB MCL list (e.g., editorial issues, typos) and removes duplicate entries. Enterprises are advised to promptly review the updated content to ensure their chemical management compliance meets the latest standards.
