Update UK GHS Classification

On 17 February 2025, the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) officially released the sixth edition of the Great Britain Mandatory Classification and Labelling List (GB MCL). This update incorporates the new/revised GB mandatory classification and labelling (GB MCL) for the 46 substances included in the fourth recommendation to ministers by the GB CLP Agency and subsequently agreed by ministers in January 2025. The update further strengthens the regulatory framework for chemical hazard management, ensuring alignment with the independent Great Britain Classification, Labelling and Packaging (GB CLP) system.

This release also corrects a number of reported errors in the GB MCL list (e.g., editorial issues, typos). Enterprises are advised to promptly review the updated content to ensure their chemical management compliance meets the latest standards.
