The Vietnam National Chemical Inventory (NCI) is a fundamental and critical official list within the national chemical management system of Vietnam. Managed collaboratively by multiple government agencies, its primary purpose is to identify, document, and regulate chemical substances produced, imported, or circulated within the country. The inventory serves as essential data support for national policies related to chemical safety, environmental protection, and public health. Chemical substances not listed in the NCI are considered new chemical substances and must undergo registration and assessment procedures before they can enter the market.
