China, Shenzhen List of Hazardous Chemicals Prohibited, Restricted and Controlled
The Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals Prohibited, Restricted and Controlled in Shenzhen (2022 Edition) was issued by the Shenzhen Municipal Emergency Management Bureau on March 29, 2022, upon approval by the Municipal Government, and came into effect on June 1, 2022, with a validity period of five years. The Catalogue imposes tiered and category-based control over hazardous chemicals, comprising 82 chemicals prohibited citywide, 614 chemicals restricted and controlled in the urban core area, and 958 chemicals restricted and controlled in non-urban core areas. The Catalogue (2027 Edition) is currently under revision; the consultation draft was released for public comment in August 2026, and the new edition is expected to be promulgated in 2027.
