This announcement introduces three technical guidelines: the Technical Guidelines for Environmental and Health Hazard Assessment of Chemical Substances (Trial-1), the Guidelines for the Technical Assessment of Environmental and Health Exposure to Chemical Substances (Trial-2), and the Guidelines for the Characterization of Chemical Environmental and Health Risks (Trial-3). Trial-1 outlines the workflow, assessment content, fundamental methods, and technical requirements for the environmental and health hazard assessment of chemical substances, applicable to such assessments. Trial-2 defines the principles, procedures, and methods for the assessment of environmental and health exposure to chemical substances, aimed at evaluations of this nature. Lastly, Trial-3 establishes the principles, procedures, and key technical aspects for characterizing environmental risks of chemicals and health risks arising from indirect environmental exposure, suitable for the characterization of chemical substances' environmental and health risks.
