Introduction of GCIS
The Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals(2015) was jointly published in Feb, 2015 by ten departments (formerly the State Administration of Work Safety, now the Ministry of Emergency Management, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine, the Railway Bureau, and the Civil Aviation Administration) in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals (Order No.591 of the State Council of the P.R.C) It was implemented on May 1, 2015. There are a total of 2, 828 chemicals in the Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals(2015) . In 2023, the ten departments released a revision notice, incorporating all diesel fuels into the Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals without distinguishing flash points.
