This regulation specifies the general provisions, registration of substances, data sharing and avoidance of unnecessary testing, information in the supply chain, downstream users, evaluation, authorisation, restrictions on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of certain hazardous substances and mixtures, fees and charges, agents, information, competent authorities, enforcement, transitional provisions and final provisions of the EU Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). It is applicable to manufacturers or importers of substances, mixtures (preparations) and articles within the European Union engaging in activities such as manufacture, placing on the market or use.
