On December 22, 2025, following the release of the 2024 List of Hazardous Substances for Industrial Use, Chile’s Ministry of the Environment (MMA) issued Exemption Resolution No. 09425, approving and publishing the 2025 List of Hazardous Substances for Non-Industrial Use. The list includes 11 substances, covering products commonly available on the market, such as household cleaners, paint thinners, and fragrance additives.

- Citric acid (77-92-9)
- o-Dichlorobenzene (95-50-1)
According to the regulations, hazardous chemicals for non-industrial use with an annual production or import volume of ≥1 ton must be reported to the Ministry of the Environment every two years via the Single Window platform by August 30. 2025 marks the deadline for the second round of notifications. However, due to technical issues with the system, companies have temporarily switched to using a provisional channel on the MMA’s official website to complete their submissions.
