Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with the National Standard Announcement No. 14 of 2024 from the State Administration for Market Regulation, the supporting standard for China RoHS, Requirements of Concentration Limits for Certain Restricted Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (GB/T 26572-2011), officially implements its Amendment No. 1. The controlled substances have been expanded to include four phthalates—DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP—increasing the list from 6 to 10 items. The corresponding testing methods have also been updated to the GB/T 39560 series of standards. This marks the full alignment of China RoHS with EU RoHS and lays a transitional foundation for the upcoming mandatory national standard GB 26572-2025, which will be officially enforced on August 1, 2027.
