71 substances were added to the Korea Existing Chemicals List (KECL)-Apr 19,2024

Recently, the Ministry of Employment and Labor of South Korea (MOEL) announced the names, hazards, risks, and measures taken to protect workers' health for 71 new chemical substances manufactured and imported in the first quarter of 2024. The new chemicals include 27 toxic substances such as lead slag, antimony-rich lead dross (Lead, dross, antimony-rich), and lead refining flue dust (Flue dust, lead refining), which have been confirmed to have acute toxicity, carcinogenicity, or reproductive toxicity among other hazards and risks.
