On April 23, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce released an announcement regarding the adjustment of the "Catalog of Precursor Chemicals for Export to Specific Countries (Regions)." The catalog has been updated to include an additional 24 chemicals, such as hydrobromic acid, bringing the total to 41. The new regulations on the management of precursor chemicals will be implemented starting from May 1, 2024.
Effective from the date of implementation, exporting precursor chemicals listed in the "Catalog of Precursor Chemicals for Export to Specific Countries (Regions)" to Myanmar, Laos, and Afghanistan will require a permit in accordance with the "Interim Administrative Measures for the Export of Precursor Chemicals to Specific Countries (Regions)." No permit is required for exports to other countries (regions).
